PSG’s Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi has become the focus of social media in the past 24 hours.
This comes after the 24-year-old Right-back outsmarted his ex-wife Hiba Abouk, in her move to claim half of his wealth through a divorce.
Hakimi’s ex-wife dragged him to court earlier this year, seeking an end to their five-year relationship and marriage, citing infidelity and other extra-marital reasons.
Abouk, 36, was expecting an equal share of his €70 million worth should the call for separation go through.
According to multiple sources Abouk received the shock of her life on Thursday, April 13 when the judges delivered the verdict of the divorce request.
The French court approved the request and also announced that the lady Hakimi met aged 19 will leave the union empty-handed because his former ‘millionaire’ husband (Hakimi) owns nothing.
The one-time Borussia Dortmund defender earns over one million Euro per year and has placed all of his assets including his bank accounts under the name of his mother.
Sources say Hakimi’s mum, Fatima receives up to 80% of his monthly earnings in another and the player had no cars, houses, jewelry, or properties in his name including clothes.
The announcement of the verdict and revelation of motives behind taking her ex-heartthrob to court has left many showering praises on Hakimi.
The former Real Madrid defender who has always been smart in his moves down the channel on the pitch has just completed a great move off the pitch.
Many are praising Hakimi for his smartness. Some have gone as far as stating he is an example to many in the football milieux whose stories about women ceasing the properties of the ex-men through the court occurs every now and then.
