Nigerians on X are paying glowing tribute to former NAFDAC boss, Dora Akunyili, after the agency recently uncovered factories in Abia state where fake and adulterated drinks were being produced massively.

 

Late Akunyili was DG of NAFDAC from 2001 to 2008 and fought tirelessly to end the reign of fake drugs and food items in Nigeria. She escaped a number of assassination attempts while in office.

 

She died on June 7, 2014.
