“Mohbad’s father wanted to bury him on the midnight of the same day he died. I stopped him from doing that” – Head of Landlords in Ikorodu

The Head of Landlords in the Ikorodu area of Lagos has recounted how the father of the late singer, Mohbad, wanted to bury him on the midnight of the day he passed away.

A video circulating on social media shows the elderly man recounting the incident that transpired the day the 27-year-old died under strange circumstances

According to him, Mohbad’s father contacted him that night, and shovels and other digging equipment were brought to dig his grave. However, he claimed that he stopped them from burying the singer at night.

Mohbad was eventually laid to rest the following day, September 13.

This revelation comes amid the controversy surrounding the singer’s death and why he was quickly buried when he was not a Muslim.

In other news, Nigerian singer, Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, better known as Bella Shmurda, has revealed why he will not pay his last respect to his friend and colleague, Mohbad, who passed away recently.
Bella, who was very close to the deceased singer before his sudden death on Tuesday September 12, has repeatedly taken to social media to bewail his death and call for justice.

Taking to Twitter on Monday September 18, the 27-year-old singer stated that he will not pay his last respect to Mohbad until justice is served.

He added that those who harassed, assaulted and attacked him must be brought to book before he pays his last respect to his best friend.
