Anambra State Police Command has a arrested one Chinedu Ezeudu, a native of Ndi Ikpa village in Ezinato community, Awka South Local Government Area of the state for allegedly blackmailing his relative’s wife and selling her nude video online
Chidimma Ikeanyionwu, the Media Assistant to the Anambra State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, September 17, 2023, said the victim, lost her memory card in March, 2023.
“She was chatted up by Chinedu in the month of June, requesting for a huge amount of money in order not to leak the nude videos,” the statement read.
“Upon her refusal to pay, the suspect threatened to post the video on all social media platforms but was confronted by the husband of the victim and asked to delete the video without knowing that he had already duplicated it
“The suspect after the confrontation by his relative, who is the husband of the victim, went ahead to release the video on Facebook, WhatsApp and other social media platforms including selling the video for three thousand Naira (N3000) and above in order to make money,”
When the incident was reported to the office of the Commissioner by the victim, the suspect was quickly arrested by the police.
The suspect, who is currently in police custody will be arraigned before the Children, Sexual and Gender Based Violence Court in Awka.
